The first season of Studi sul Qui was a pilot project, very short even considering the usual brevity that characterizes Studi sul Qui residencies.
So I decided to develop this video through a very simple action and with precise rules. I walked through the village, pointing the camera at everything that caught my attention, always using a tripod, and I left plenty of time during editing to observe each shot as if looking at the landscape from a window.
During my walk, I interacted with the few people I met, completely by chance. I didn't plan any encounters or force any relationships.
With this video, I wanted to offer residents an opportunity to look at the landscape of Jovençan, which is ordinary to them, by relieving them of the responsibility of looking.
For me, it was an opportunity to realize how much the themes that emerged during the residency revealed themselves naturally through such simple and fleeting observations, and how many elements useful for better understanding the place had been captured in the frames of my camera.
