One of the reasons for our visit to Oppido Lucano was the possible launch of a project to promote the film library as a key element for local development. On the one hand, the film library seemed to us to have enormous potential, but on the other, we immediately saw the difficulty of implementing a private heritage as a key factor for local development. We left with the promise to work on a project for the Film Library, which kept us busy during the months of the second lockdown. We worked on this project with great enthusiasm, coming up with some proposals that seemed realistic and sustainable over time, both then and now. However, our proposals never elicited a response from the relevant parties (the Film Library's owners, the municipal administration, etc.): therefore, on the evening of the first feedback session, we presented, among other things, the text of our project, which had been kept secret or ‘censored’ as if it were confidential material stolen from some secret archive.
